Guitar Lens

Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

Short version: we collect as little as possible. The iPhone app collects nothing at all. The website collects only your email address if you buy a plan, so you can sign in. We never sell your information, and there are no ads or tracking.

This policy is from James Houston, doing business as Guitar Lens, Pennsylvania, USA. Contact: [email protected].

The iPhone app

Guitar Lens: Learn Triads for iPhone does not collect, store or share any personal information. Your settings and progress stay on your device. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details.

The website: what we collect

What stays on your device

Practice progress, streaks, badges and settings are saved in your own browser and are not sent to us.

Who processes data for us

We share data with these providers only to run the service. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

Why we use it

To provide the plan you bought (performing our contract with you), to answer support requests, and to meet legal and tax record-keeping duties.

How long we keep it

We keep your email and plan status while you have a plan and for as long as needed for tax and legal records afterward. You can ask us to delete your email sooner if you no longer have an active plan.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
